The meeting will consist of two parts. There will be a one-day Symposium on the Physics of High Baryon Density followed by the regular bi-annual meeting of the CBM collaboration. Both events will be held at the "Institut Pluridisciplinaire Hubert Curien (IPHC)" in Strasbourg (France), from September 19 to 22, 2006.
Symposium (September 19, 2006)

The Symposium is intended to review our current knowledge on the physics of dense baryonic matter and to discuss the future perspectives in this field of research. The main goal is to provide guidance for future experimental programs at the planned FAIR facility at GSI-Darmstadt and give direction to further theoretical developments.
Topics to be covered include:
CBM Collaboration meeting (September 20 - 22, 2006)
---
The purpose of the CBM Collaboration Meeting is to present and discuss the current status of the CBM experiment and its physics program. The meeting will start on Wednesday, September 20th at 9:00 and will end on Friday, September 22nd at 18:00. It will be organized in plenary sessions, which will include overview presentations on feasibility studies, detector design and R&D developments, and parallel sessions of the Collaboration working groups. Plenary sessions will be open to all physicists interested in the field (i.e. not only CBM collaboration members).
Further information on the Collaboration meeting is available on the CBM web site.
